Oh no! My exact thought as I parked my car at the same moment a sudden downpour started. It was cold. No, let me take that back - it was freezing! Legitimately freezing and now it was raining, just hours before the ceremony. Oh boy. My next thought was that it's time to get a game plan for these photos because the weather was not in our favor, but you know what? With a one hour countdown to the ceremony, the rain stopped and would you believe the sun appeared. And let me tell you, the sun showed up and showed out! You would never know by looking at these photos just how cold or soggy everything was because it was just THAT beautiful!
If you want to know what else is beautiful, scroll down and look at this couple - MY couple! They radiate the love of Christ. And they wanted ME to photograph this momentous occasion in their lives! What a privilege to know them and to document the beginning of this next chapter. (I am cheering you on from Montgomery!)
I admire people who are genuinely kind and find so much value in others. Whitney, Kevin, their friends and families, all do just that. Just look at how Kevin looks at Whitney, he adores her! Likewise, she has a certain sparkle about her. She sees life through rose-colored glasses and she chooses joy - even on cold, wet days.
I really hope you enjoy this quick highlight of my favorite photos from Whitney and Kevin's rainy day wedding.
